We offer Basic and Extended Warranties to provide coverage for your system. These Warranties add value by assisting you with maintaining your system in good working order.
-Basic Warranty- Meggitt Training Systems Customer Support - Standard 12-month Warranty Upon payment by the Customer and Warranty Validation, Meggitt Training Systems, warrants the product(s) listed against defects in material or workmanship from the Start Date to the End Date shown within this document. During this period, Meggitt Training Systems will maintain the training system under this Warranty, subject to the following terms, conditions, and exclusions. EXCEPT FOR THE SPECIFIC WARRANTY STATED HEREIN, MEGGITT TRAINING SYSTEMS AND ITS SUBCONTRACTORS AND SUPPLIERS MAKE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, AND SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. MEGGITT TRAINING SYSTEMS Warranty Terms, Conditions and Exclusions: 1. Meggitt Training Systems warrants that the products will be in good working order in accordance with Meggitt Training Systems's standard specifications, subject to the exclusions set forth below. Warranty begins upon completion of installation. This Warranty period is one (1) year for all items except consumables such as printer ribbons, ink cartridges, and projector bulbs. During this Warranty period, Meggitt Training Systems will repair or replace, at its option, any product that is defective in material or workmanship, without charge to the Customer, subject to the terms and conditions and procedure set forth below. This warranty does not cover minor adjustment and maintenance operations that would normally be performed by the buyer. 2. As a condition of this Warranty, the Customer will advise Meggitt Training Systems promptly of the change of location of any product. 3. If the customer modifies any product during this Warranty period, and such modification interferes with or raises the cost of repair, creates a safety hazard, or results in a product malfunction, Meggitt Training Systems is entitled immediately to terminate this Warranty. Alternatively, Meggitt Training Systems may agree to removal of such a modification and continuation of this Warranty, provided the Customer pays the extra costs incurred by Meggitt Training Systems arising from the unauthorized modification. 4. Repairs shall not be provided under Warranty, and are excluded, when damage, malfunction, or service failure results from: (a) Customer's failure to follow Meggitt' installation, operation, Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) or maintenance instructions and/or manuals; (b) Customer's repairs, modifications, or attachments to a product of any other device or equipment; (c) Customer's abuse, misuse, or negligence; (d) Power failures or surges, lightning, fire, flood, pest damage, accident, actions of third parties, and any other event outside Meggitt Training Systems's reasonable control or not arising under normal operating conditions. (e) Cathode Ray Tubes (CRTs) & projector Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) panels are subject to image burn-in as a result of improper usage of the simulator; the rate at which image burn-in can occur is a function of operational usage. Accordingly, CRT/LCD image burn-in is not covered by this warranty. 5. This Warranty is valid only for the original Customer. This Warranty is non-transferable. Alteration or removal of a product warranty seal or component serial number will void this Warranty. 6. When upgrading a Meggitt Training Systems system, the warranty shall apply to only those parts, which have been properly installed by a Meggitt Training Systems certified Technician in the system and in the simulated weapon(s). 7. The following terms and conditions apply to warranty service: (a) The business hours during which support is normally provided by Meggitt Training Systems are between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Technical support is accessible outside of these coverage times for emergency service by calling Meggitt Training Systems Service Department's toll free number at (800) 344-6771. (b) Meggitt Training Systems will begin diagnosis within three (3) business hours after notice of the trouble report for a malfunction that degrades or stops system operation. 8. The following procedures apply under this Warranty: (a) The Customer will call Meggitt Training Systems during the coverage period. Meggitt Training Systems will diagnose the malfunction from the trouble report and telephone conversation(s), and advise the customer which component is most likely the cause of the malfunction. (b) As required, the customer will package the failed component for return to Meggitt Training Systems. The customer will pay the shipping costs for returning a failed component to Meggitt Training Systems, unless the Original Contract states otherwise. Meggitt Training Systems will repair the failed component and return it to the customer with Meggitt Training Systems paying shipping costs. c) If initial or subsequent diagnosis confirms that a failure exists beyond the Customer's ability to correct, Meggitt Training Systems may find it necessary to return the entire system to the factory for full servicing. -Extended Warranty- Meggitt Training Systems offers Extended Warranties to provide additional years of coverage under the same warranty terms and conditions at the time of purchase.
