Simulation and live fire training combined together
The live fire screen increases training realism when combined with the Small Arms Trainer (SAT), FATS® M7 or FATS® M100 simulator series. Elements of training include marksmanship, judgmental shooting, reaction time, and accuracy. The live fire screen allows for use of live fire weapons during the simulation scenario. Round placement is determined via the use of acoustic scoring.
The live fire screen is not designed to stop bullets. Bullets pass through the front and rear screens, and continue. Force and velocity of bullets is not significantly reduced. It is essential that a bullet stop, bullet trap, or some other containment device is used in conjunction with the screen.
