The Flashlight option provides increased training value by simulating night training or low light training where a flashlight is required. Without re-filming, any training video can become a night scenario and allow the trainee to gain experience in managing a firearm and flashlight simultaneously.
The flashlight feature works with all video scenarios and includes a flashlight camera and two-inch flashlight IR filter that attaches to the front of a stand-alone flashlight. The brightness of the displayed scenario can be adjusted in real time by the instructor based on the light pattern of the flashlight (including the transition from bright center spot to light fall off at edges). For training groups of people, multiple flashlights can be used simultaneously.
Meggitt Training Systems can optionally provide filters that attach to the front of weapon-mounted flashlights.
